Colourpop Haul & how to get Colourpop in the UK!

If you’re interested in finding out how to purchase Colourpop products within the UK or how best to ship them, then continue reading below about my experience.
Colourpop is an American makeup company which specifies in various types of lipsticks and glosses but has also now developed a line of eyeshadows
I discovered this brand about a year ago, by seeing YouTubers using Colourpop Ultra Matte lip gloss during makeup tutorials and I really liked the way the lip stick looks as I personally prefer matte lip gloss to shiny. After researching the brand, I discovered that at this point it did not ship their products to England. So, I searched the brand on Ebay and found some U.K sellers, who were selling the products but at a higher price than the retail price, but in order to get my hands on the colour lip gloss that I really wanted I had no choice but to price the price of the resellers. I paid £11 for the colour Trap, whereas the retail price was $5 (now increased to $6).
After revisiting Colourpop’s website, I had realised that they now in fact ship Internationally (excluding China, Turkey, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cote D’Ivoire, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, the Crimean region of the Ukraine, Sudan and Syria.) This time I decided to order 2 more Ultra Matte Lip gloss, which were $5 each with a charge of $15 shipping fee. The Third time, I ordered 4 Lippie Stix at $5 each, also with a $15 shipping fee but I was also charged customs on this packaging which was £11.08 (I presumed this was because the package contained more expense goods then the first time) but I was not very happy at having to pay this charge before it would be delivered to my home or it would be returned back to the sender.
So now I come to my most recent purchase which I received this week. Before buying any products, I researched into was there any possible way of making my purchase any cheaper as being a student, we are always looking for a bargain or a way to make things cheaper. So, I researched into another blog which stated that she used a service called Shipito, which is a service that gives you an American address to ship the parcel to in order to avoid the shipping charge and then this company will send the parcel to you with another charge. This website would only work in your favour if you’re trying to ship multiple things from the US, otherwise it charges more than the shipping costs from Colourpop. I also looked into whether restricting how many items to each shipping and having multiple packages to avoid the customs charge but this would end up you paying more in shipping costs.
I concluded that the most cost effective way to order from Colourpop would be to order a larger order as they are offering a deal for if you spend over $50 its free international shipping and free for orders over $30 within the US. So, I searched their website and found a pack of three Ultra Matte Lip gloss’/ Ultra Satin Lip gloss, five other Ultra Matte and Ultra Satin lip gloss’ and two eye shadows. This came to $55 but when you first visit the Colourpop website they offer another deal if you sign up to their newsletter then you get $5 off your next purchase, which I used so in total it came to $50 (£40.78). Each Lip gloss $6, the set of three lip gloss $15 and eye shadow $5. Doing this large order was a risk with the customs charge but to my surprise the customs charge was slightly cheaper than I anticipated, it was £16.89. But when paying for this purchase I forgot and used my debit card instead of Paypal and I was charged two different fees, which were international debit card purchase fee and international debit card transaction fee which totalled £2.62. It’s safe to say I have learnt from this mistake and I hope you do too.
This is how the package arrived, with all the products secured with foam so none of the products could be damaged.

One of the products that I purchased was a set of three Lip gloss’ called Just Peachy, which contained Speed Dial, Instigator and Screen Shot.

Another product I purchased is Colourpop’s new released eye shadow. I chose the colour Firefly.

I also purchased another eye shadow called Wake Up.

The next thing I purchased was three lip gloss’ from Colourpop’s Hello Kitty Range, these are all sold separately. The colours are Ribbon, Mimmy and Milk Bottle.

The last items that I purchased were two other lip gloss’, which are called Beeper and Echo Park.

Here is a swatch of all of the Lip Gloss'. (Left to right: Speed Dial, Instigator, Screen Shot, Beeper, Echo Park, Mimmy, Ribbon and Milk Bottle)

Also in each package, you receive a thank you post card.

A detailed booklet on how to use each product from their website, which I think it great as it gives you a step by step guide on how to apply each product.
